- Library Systems have 2,115 member library agencies:
- 200 Academic Libraries
- 646 Public Libraries
- 881 School Districts
- 388 Special Libraries
- Library Systems are funded by grants from the Secretary of State's office
through funds appropriated by the Illinois General Assembly.
- Library Systems support shared computerized catalogs of nearly 31 million
resources for over 700 libraries.
- Library Systems provide physical delivery of over 28 million library materials
annually.
- Library System members shared more than 4.5 million resources with other members
between July 2008 and June 2009.
- Library Systems offered 1,071 continuing education and training events to
over 13,000 participants between July 2008 and June 2009.
- Library System members share over 9 million resources through reciprocal
borrowing annually.
