Welcome to Project 12. Leadership through cooperation is the buzz among Illinois libraries. Project 12 is an electronic information kit featuring a collection of electronically accessible predesigned promotional materials created to highlight the many cooperative programs and services Illinois libraries offer.
Using ALA's @ YOUR LIBRARY brand, the Project 12 materials were created to provide Illinois librarians with tools to build awareness and promote the use of Illinois libraries' vast system of resources including interlibrary loan, "Stuff on Demand," shared databases, "Data Heaven," your librarian, "Ask A Guru," and the shared power of working together, "Powerful Friends."
You are encouraged to review Project 12, and use the materials in your library. As Illinois libraries begin using the posters, flyers, bookmarks, and screensavers, we again have an opportunity to show our leadership through cooperation.
Funding for this grant was awarded by the Illinois State Library (ISL), a Division of the Office of Secretary of State, using funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), under the federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).
