Services of Illinois Library Systems
Illinois multitype Library Systems provide a range
of services in support of interlibrary cooperation and resource
sharing among libraries in Illinois.
The Fund for Illinois
Libraries, formerly operated by Illinois multitype Library Systems as a 501(c)(3)
organization, enabled System member libraries to receive gifts
from individuals or organizations that can only make donations
to 501(c)(3) charitable organizations. This serivce is now offered by the Illinois Library Association. We also provided a yearly
summary of Library System cooperative activities through our
statistics summary. We tracked
several of the core services that all Library Systems provide,
including continuing education events, shared online catalogs,
delivery, resource sharing and more.
Every two years, Illinois Library Systems
produces Library Days and Dates. This document provides a comprehensive
listing of all the important deadlines for libraries. A new service
being offered is our graphics center. From there, you can download
a variety of materials produced by Illinois Library Systems,
including Project
12 materials.
